In 2012, White House staff brewed the first beer ever produced on White House property. Now you can brew your own batch of these recipes all while singing Ale to the Chief! Don't worry, we won't judge your singing abilities.

White House Honey Ale:

7 lb light dried malt extract*
12 oz crushed amber crystal malt
8 oz Biscuit Malt
1 lb White House Honey
1 1/2 oz Kent Goldings Hop Pellets 45 min
1 1/2 oz Fuggles Hop pellets 1 min

*All grain version: substitute 10 pounds 2 Row barley in place of malt extract.

Extract kits include dry or liquid extract, steeping grains, hops, muslin bags (if needed) and instructions. All grain kits include grains and hops.

Yeast is available separately. We recommend Windsor Ale yeast for this recipe.
